Phaedra's Baby Bump...

RHOA's southern belle has officially confirmed that her and husband, Apollo, are awaiting the birth of their second child. While on vacation in the Bahamas, Parks released an official baby bump photo to People Magazine, letting the world know that they are soon to be giving birth. Maybe this time, we'll get the real due date. LOL. 

I would like to personally congratulate the two. They are building a beautiful family. =)

New Year New Room =)

Hey Glam Girls! Happy Sunday! So you all know the new year is quickly approaching and this is the time to ring in a ton of new ideas, practices and changes, right? RIGHT! So, in true Glam Girl fashion- I'm revamping my entire bedroom, just in time for 2013. I wanted something glam and chic but also comfortable enough for me to blog, lounge and sleep of course. Here is what I came up with...

For my wall colors...

The bulk of my room will be painted in this soft gray hue. I love this color because its warm and inviting but also not too girly. It'll add a nice balance to my nest.

My accent wall, which is where my DIY vanity which I call a beauty bar will be, will be covered in this striped wall paper pattern. The vanity table is a soft gray color just like the color of the other walls so I thought this pop of unexpected glam would add some character to this area.

Now for the bed...

So, yeah... I absolutely HEART this bed! It is extremely gorg. It's soft and girly yet very adult like which is exactly what I was going for. Since it will be adjacent to the contrast wall and tucked in front of my huge bay window covered by sheer chiffon curtains, I thinks its the perfect focal point for my bedroom. I couldn't wait to order this piece and it is so far my fave!

Dressers...

I purchased two of Ikea's Malm series chests in this soft purple color. I love the color and I'm totally not a dresser girl but these were way too cute. I'm adding in touches of purple with a picture frame that I have from my grandma and the bed linens so I thought this would be great. I really don't need much dresser space since I have an entire dressing room, but its good to have access to a few key pieces that I wear on a regular basis in case I don't have time to use my girly dressing nest.

Details... 

Of course, details are key in any good design plan. I thought that placing a cute little nook shelf over the door would be a great way to display some vintage perfume bottles, my favorite family portrait and  a framed copy of my first blog post. I love the small feminine touch and this will be a cute little DIY project for me to work on in the New Year.

Two Be or Not Two Be Fab... =) Vegas Decision Making

Hey Glam Girls! Happy Sunday! As you know, I'm preparing for an upcoming vacay to Las Vegas this New Years Eve. I'm uber excited and can't wait to get some good site seeing, shopping, dining and of course partying into my system. Just when I thought I had my head wrapped around this whole New Years Eve party plan- I get this huge announcement that my secret love (or at least in my head) is going to be in town throwing a bash of his own... So here's the story.

At first, I was planning to keep it simple and party with Brandy Norwood at Lavo. I had made the selection simply because it wasn't as pricey as the others and I was really more concerned with having a good time and a few drinks. Tickets would only costs $75 and include a two hour open bar.

But then I realized that the cutie himself- J Cole- will be taking on Lavo's sister club, Tao. So I made plans to attend the amazing shindig, which rang in at a whopping $125 per ticket. The ticket was to include a two hour open bar and passed apps which I could definitely force myself to enjoy. The plan seemed flawless, since it would also include free access to Lavo to party with Brandy after midnight.

I had also come up with a plan to swing on by 1Oak for a night with Kim K. So I was thinking that since Kim K would be in town, the sexy Kanye West would stop by. Now since Beyonce is doing a show in Vegas that night, I figured wherever Kanye was- Jay-Z would swing by. Perfect planning right? NOT! Jay-Z is planning a New Year extravaganza at the Barclay in Brooklyn. So much for this theory. So at $200 a ticket for just general admission, I'm sorry Kim K, you're not gonna cut it for me this night darling. 

So then... I was doing my homework, exploring my options and found that 2Chainz would be partying it up at Chateau. Chateau is already an amazingly gorgeous club, which I happen to LOVE! The tickets aren't that much more than the others- coming in at a whopping $200 bucks with a FIVE HOUR open bar. I can get down with that! I happen to LOVE 2Chainz and the fact that he is planning to perform on the rooftop made the decision that much easier.

That was of course until I logged on today... Clear as day I read Planet Hollywood's announcement to have Fabolous perform at Gallery Nightclub. Now these tickets are $160 and that's for a five hour open bar and VIP admission- just like Chateau. Fab is supposed to perform as well. So now I'm faced with a dilemma! Who do I see? Fabulous or 2Chainz?????

Glam Girl of the Month

So Glam Girls I know that this Glam Girl of the month business actually wasn't supposed to start until 2013. BUT...when I saw this photo I honestly couldn't resist the glam filled temptation to share it. So I won't go too far into details or anything! But I will say this- America has better watch out because this Glam Girl has resurfaced and she's hotter than ever. Miss Deshawn Snow.

You may know her from the very first season of RHOA or as the very sophisticated (now ex) wife of Eric Snow. She is far more than a basketball wife, being a devoted mother, business owner and philanthropist. Since the divorce, which surprisingly managed to stay pretty hush hush- Snow ha shed a few pounds, picked up a little more glam and gained a boost in self confidence that no money could by. Take a look at how she's GLAM'n.

I was doing some online shopping today when I sashayed over to GoJane for some last minute vacation pieces. In an attempt to find a pair of riding pants for a horseback riding session I plan to have, I couldn't help but notice what seems to be a new trend coming to surface. Garter style leggings...
I wasn't sure what to think, but of course, I ordered some! And as of right now, I think I love them...

RENT THE RUNWAY: Review and NYE Looks

Have you ever eyed a super expensive designer dress for a special occasion and contemplated breaking the bank to get it? Well, so have I. There have been thousands of times that I have wanted a dress but simply couldn't afford it. I know I'm guilty of spending hundreds on a dress, wearing it once and then tossing it into a storage bin in my basement! But not anymore! RTR is here to cut your costs and your stress level in half!

Here's how it works:
First you sign up! Membership is free and easy! You just enter your info and start shopping! Unlike other membership sites you don't have to store a credit card or any confidential info at all!
Once you're a member, you have access to the entire site- not just handpicked items that match your profile! You can search for dresses by color, length, style or event! It's easier than you think!
Once you find your perfect dress, you select your rental period. Standard rental is about four days I believe and it gets to you on the day before your rental begins! I have never had an issue with shipping or handling either!

Reality TV Fashion Dupes

Happy Monday Glam Girls! I wanted to come to you dolls today with a post I'm sure we all can relate to! Most of us sit around our flat screens all week long gawking at Reality TV Shows. While some ladies are actually entertained by the ruckus and nonstop commotion of the series' others like myself are more obsessed with the fashion! Realitytvfashion.com is a site which lists some of the weekly wardrobes of said shows and shows you how and where to purchase them on your own! While I am completely in love with the site myself I realize that sometimes those styles inspire our fashion hearts, the prices don't always match our wallets. So, I'm bringing you a dupe alert (on steroids!)...

So first, there's the gorgeous Julisa, who you may know from Reality TV show "Empire Girls" or several other hosting gigs she's held. In true Julisa fashion, the beauty hosted X Factor's preshow last week wearing an amazing Tibi skater dress in hot pink! The Tibi dress, which was featured on Realitytvfashion.com rings in a whopping $525 per unit, while there are dupes on the market for as low as $15.

Morning Tea: Nelly and Ashanti Splitting???

Omg! It saddens me to even tell you glam girls this new tea! Rumor has it Ashanti and Nelly have called it quits! Two two were together for as long as I can remember and made what most called a cute (not quite power) couple!

The country grammar rapping fellow is rumored to be the victim in this split. Sources are saying that Ashanti (formerly known as the princess of R&B may have been double dipping. It's very hard for me to believe that about the gorgeous and talented songstress, especially having remembered the way she belted out the lyrics to 'The Way That I Love You' live once.

Blogs all over are making light of the situation by posting comical lists of why the pair should stay together! I'll be taking to twitter today with our list! #whyNellyshouldstay 😔

Morning Tea: Kenya Moore Snaps Back

Morning Glam Girls! So hey, I tried my hardest not to get wrapped up in this Kenya vs Walter madness but the jig is up! I just had to come and spill this tea with you all! So, in case you've been hiding under a rock for the last few weeks and have not a clue what's going on in the A- let me give it to you straight!

Kenya Moore, the desperate- oops I mean Real Housewife of Atlanta and former Miss USA was recently outed for her recent attempt to ruin her former boo's life! See what had happened was... Kenya got a whiff of how stupid she looked during the episode of RHOA when She practically begged Walter to marry her and apparently went even more psychological crazy thereafter! She immediately scouted out press to pass along a lousy gay rumor about Walter, claiming it as the reason for their split! She said that Walter didn't want to marry her because he is, in fact, gay! Walter (and anyone else on the planet with some common sense) was not buying that tale! Instead, he took to the media himself to dish the real tea regarding their "so called" relationship! Walter spilled what most had already concluded about the couples real life on an Atlanta radio morning show! It was there that he blasted Kenya for asking him to PLAY her boyfriend so that she could be on the show! He said that he does not now nor has he ever had a REAL relationship with Moore!

Twitter and social networks went crazy over the spilled tea and naturally Kenya got upset! In attempt to save face, yet again, she took to a classic tactic and wrote a letter to miss Wendy Williams herself. In the letter, she claimed that she had been nothing but honest on the show and that Walter was in deed her man at that time! She also said that she was embarrassed that she had let such a (low life, basically) man into her life. In closing, she stated that she now knows that she can do much better than Walter and she will...

Ha! I know one thing for sure- I ain't buyin it! Are you?

So glammies, I'll now be keeping you posted with a weekly recap of everything you may have missed on Instagram in terms of celebrity fashion and glam! I'll even share my favorite Gram pic of my own. Here we go...

Hip Hop goddess, Trina gives us über fab in 'All Gold Everything' this week! My Gosh she looks gorg!

Evelyn Lozada gives us border line tacky in an all black cat suit! I'm not sure if it was mesh or lace- but it was a total miss for me. Her face looks great though!

Kim K brought the gram a couple smiley faces as she gave us a pic stitch version of the many faces of Kim! I thought it was super cool and really cute! Then again I am totally Kim L obsessed! LOL

Draya, the new mean girl of reality TV and self proclaimed STAR of VH1's Basketball Wives LA, brought the "sexy" in an all white gown with a shoe string cut out. I'm not necessarily a fan, but I think she pulled it off. And I'm loving the bob on her!

And my fave pic of the week on my own IG would have to be a #TBT I posted of me on vacay in the Bahamas a year of two ago! That's all dolls! Happy Friday.

Is Beyonce Dancing w/ the Devil?

Beyonce has certainly shown herself to be all about a dollar lately. After signing up to perform at the Super Bowl and signing a $50 million deal with Pepsi recently, she is letting the world know that she is not done yet!

Rumor has it Beyonce is scheduled to perform in Las Vegas for a two hour show at Wynn. This may come as no surprise to most, as the singer previously recorded the I Am... Yours DVD there as well. What may, however, be shocking to some is that tickets are priced at $500 a seat, minimum. This for a two hour show, I might add. It is said that the show will earn Beyonce $4 million and that though Blue Ivy will not be tagging along, Hov himself will be there as well.

What is even more shocking, to me at least, is that the tickets are reportedly not open to the public and only available for sale to an exclusive set of about 700. Well more power to you Bey! Although I will be in Vegas celebrating the new year, I have no desire to pay $500 for a two hour show. I mean, I've had pedicures that have lasted longer... I'm just saying.

Who You Nail'n?

They're gorgeously chic, incredibly clever and too cute to pass by! What most thought to be just a temporary fad has certainly proven to be much more: Claw Nails have taken their stance!

I was introduced to the concept a while back when Rihanna graced the cover of an online blog, showing off her freshly painted pointy manicure. At first, I was taken aback by it, and immediately drew to the obvious Cat Woman comparison. A few weeks later, twitter was a buzz with twit pics of the nail set and everyone was asking where they could get their nails shaped like this. Even still, I was admittedly against the idea of something so dramatic taking place on a woman's hands! I thought of lots of ways to describe it, tacky being one of them.

It wasn't until recently that I feel in love with this craze. "Stiletto nails" as some people call them has officially become my obsession! But not just the shape of them! The designs I've witnessed have been nothing short of amazing! From these intricate half moon designs to the more funky patterns like tribal and cheetah prints, I must say, I'm impressed!

Now keep in mind, I've probably worn about three colors on my nails on the last three years! (Im an every week same color type of girl) I opt for simplicity in a manicure for a lot of obvious reasons. But this is truly a fashion statement I must experience. I've thrown my inner shy girl to the side and taken a step I never thought I would... I scheduled my very own appointment to have my nails CLAW'd! Yessss honey, I too shall be CLAW'd! And I'm super excited about it.

So here's the deal... I'm heading over for my own appointment in about two weeks. In the meantime, I'm looking for inspiration! Designs, colors, ideas- you name it- you bring it! Who Wore It Best: Weaves of 2012

As 2012 comes quickly to a close, I think it is imperative that we reflect on the Good, the bad and the GLAM! With that in mind, it's only right that we take a fabulous stroll down memory lane and view a category that is near and dear to my heart! Celebrity weaves! Because we all know how easy it is to get it wrong, lets take a look at some of the Glam Girls that got it right this year.

Number 10-
Proudly rocking long tresses this year, substituting her previously short locks and coming in at number ten- I am super proud of my glam girl fave Kelly Rowland. Having owned her sexy (after being smothered by Beyonces shadow for far too long) this year Kelly opted for long, sexy curls which proved that she is capable of being confident and rocking a flawless install! I loved every moment of it!

Number 9-
Angela Simmons definitely owned her look this year! She flaunted long, perfectly curled tresses every chance she got! Apparently staying true to the Indique Virgin hair brand, Simmons made it hard to take our eyes off her installs this year!

Number 8-
If you're anything like me, you've been caught drooling over Keke Palmers latest look! Ever since she flaunted the long ombré colored extensions, I've been a fashion fan! But when she went light and gave us blonde fierce, I got just a little bit more life from her! She has made quite a transformation this year and I proudly place her at number 8 in our countdown! Work it

Number 7-
Now I'm sure this wont come as a surprise to anyone, but in at number 7 would certainly have to be Wayne's baby mama (one of the many) herself! Lauren London has always flaunted a sexy and sophisticated head full of locks. Nothing changed this year as she have us extensions that could breathe life into a mannequin honey! Her tresses are long and match perfectly with her natural hair grade, which makes her a top contender in the world of weaves!

Number 6-
I'd have to say another Glam Girl with bombshell hair is most definitely LaLa Vasquez! Being a mother, actress and much more, this beauty somehow still always finds time to look gorg! Whether she's rocking jet black china bangs, swept long layers or a simple parted extension style, this girls weave is always on point! It normally helps when you have a head full of gorgeous hair like hers! So go ahead Lala!

Number 5-
Toya Carter steps right on up (as another one of Wayne's baby mamas) with a weave that is always right and tight! Having even came out with her own weave line, Toya brought the sexy all year, from long curly tresses to straight cut bobs and ponytails and beyond! I loved every moment of glam with miss Carter!

Number 4-
Maybe not as relevant as some of my previous mentions, but certainly relevant in terms of glam- in at number 4 is the fabulous Marlo Hampton! This former (tag along) housewife of Atlanta has always brought the fierce factor in terms of hair! Her signature middle parted, long weave is nothing short of perfection! Definitely a glam girl!

Number 3-
Speaking of housewives in the A- this newcomer certainly came with some fierce hair! Porsha Stewart (wife of Cordell Stewart alleged video hoe- we'll talk about that later) has some of the most perfect tresses I've ever seen! Usually curled in ringlets or swept off to the side, this is a weave that boasts just the right amount or everything! If she can keep this up, perhaps her lack of brains may be accepted. LOL

Number 2-
Y'all all know that I love and favor the gorgeous and talented Yandy Smith! And although it may seem as if I'm partial or bias, I promise you I'm not. Not a glam girl in her right mind can argue with the fact that Yandy's weave is always flawless! The simple yet gorgeously effective middle parted locks are always on point in my eyes! I LOVE LOVE LOVE her hair!! Yandy, you better work!

Number 1-
Honeyyy, there ain't a weave on this earth that can take an inch away from some of the most flawless installs known to mankind! The gorgeous locks of Malaysia Pargo are some that almost bring tears to my eyes! From her straight long booty length locks to her curled tresses or razor sharp bobs, I have been nothing but pleased with her looks this year! I proudly give number 1 to the basketball wife Malaysia!
