Sundays Best: Game w/ the Guys

He loves me, is probably what you're telling yourself as you stand in front of your mirror getting ready to head to your beau's house for the night. In his world, no Sunday is complete without a little football! Obviously you want something light, airy and free so that you can join in on the fun, cheering for your favorite team (EAGLES of course)! So lets cook up a GLAMorously simple idea.
First things first: Reach into your closet and pull out your favorite skinny jeans! Not only are skinny jeans quick and super versatile, but they're apparently a favorite pick amongst guys! So your guy will definitely be happy you chose them.
This look is easy. So you don't want to zoom in too much on the play by play! Just have fun with it. Throw on a top with a funky print or pattern. This way you're look is already done and all you have to do is accessorize. If you're comfortable, go for the cropped top! It's flirty and fun and a quick way to land a touchdown! =) Accessorizing should be easy. I usually throw on a ton of bangles, some over sized hoop earrings and a headband! Speaking of which....
My favorite part of this particular look is definitely the headband! This Deepa Gurnani piece demands attention and is uber beautiful! When considering the fact that it is just a headband, you may be reluctant to dish out the $71 it's gonna cost you to rock this. But celebrities have fallen in love with the Gurnani headband line, and so have I. So, I'll be doing a piece sometime this week showing you how to get this look for less!

So, church is over! And you have a few free moments to change in something comfy before meeting your best friend downtown for brunch. The spot is your local fave and its very relaxed. You throw your hair into a messy bun, and start working on an afternoon look for less!

First things first: You already know that you'll be layering your choices with your leather motorcycle jacket so right now you're just thinking comfort! Not a problem! The first thing you're going to need with that dark leather jacket is a pop of color! The jacket has a snug fit so go with something opposite, like an easy or loose fit. I chose pink because its fun and funky and still super right for fall! The H&M top has a bit of  a tie-dye affect, if you will. So its very easy to match with a bottom.

Moving right along: You can basically choose any bottom you want with a top like this. But since its early fall and we still have a chance to bare ankles (if you'd like) why not have some fun with a cropped trouser or legging? I decided on a River Island cropped pant in a rose pink shade which absolutely brought the GLAM to this look! Have fun with your bottom. It's not as warm as before so you'll definitely want to have your legs covered, but covering can be fun! Right?

Finally: Shoes are always the most important part of any look (in my opinion). So when deciding on a shoe, you want to think logically and fashionably. You don't want to settle in either area. If you're already having fun with your color scheme, why not keep the fun going! The Dr. Marten boot is the perfect touch because it's comfortable enough for you to rush downtown in, yet cute enough to make this outfit Glam Guru approved!

*If you're going with a heel alternative, definitely break up your color palette. Don't do the same color as your top for a change. Try a mint green or nude basic pump and you'll definitely turn heads!

Your look is complete once you toss on a necklace, throw a cute clutch under your arm and gloss your lips! I thought it would be fun to throw in this super cute ASOS clutch because it's been a fave of mine for a while! Voila!

The great thing about this outfit is that its super functional, so no matter where you're having brunch, you can move at ease and still look amazingly GLAMorous. It's also made up of quality classic pieces, like the trousers and the leather jacket, which can both be used time and time again without anyone noticing the rerun. And it's also totally affordable. The entire look (including makeup and accessories) can be achieved for around $300! For looks that will last all season, that's definitely a great deal!

Sundays Best: Glam to Church

So, it's 9 am and you're staring into your full length mirror in a towel admiring your fresh face. The only thing on your mind is what to wear to church! Think no more. Here's a look that will keep you warm, feeling styled up and can be easily manipulated to fit YOUR budget!

First things first: Remember that its FALL! Fall is all about playing with layers, textures and colors. So don't be afraid to try things you wouldn't normally pull off during Summer months! You want to start with a piece that is classic and can be layered with many different textures, and build your look around THAT piece! I started with the classic leather motorcycle jacket. It's fun, its modern (yet an all time style fave) and it's very easy to build on. You don't want to start with anything with too much of a defined look, as it will limit your pairing capabilities!

*Find a jacket that is light enough to toss over your arm if you have to take it off, yet heavy enough to challenge the brisk morning air you're sure to experience on your church commute.

Moving right along: Once you have your jacket in mind, you're ready to make a focal point of your outfit. Today, it's all about the DRESS! You'll want a dress that is bold enough to stand on its own but would still compliment the jacket. For this look, I recommend playing on prints. Animal fabrics like cheetah and leopard are not exactly the look we're going for though! Keep it abstract! Doing this will give you a look that doesn't scream FAD ATTACK! With a motorcycle jacket (or any shorter length leather jacket) you'll want a dress length that is at least just above your knee.

Finally: Now you can focus on your shoe! Find one that is calm and cute. You don't want to overdo it, after all you're headed to church this morning! The last thing you want is to look like you rolled out of bed and never changed out of last nights outfit. So simple and muted is the best effect for this option. I chose a pair of classic chunky heel pumps, which you can always find during the Autumn seasons because they are definitely a fall staple!

Throw in a clutch and a couple of bangles and you're ready for church honey! =)

But, don't stay too long... You have a brunch date at noon...
