My Vacation Highlights

Hey there glam girls! I'm back from vacay and feeling relaxed and refreshed! My boyfriend and I packed our bags and headed out on the road for a week long road trip! We hit Myrtle Beach South Carolina first where the weather was wonderful and the activities were endless! We checked into a condo at the Market Commons which featured an amazing suite and plenty of shopping and dining options! I'd probably never stay anywhere else! :-) Myrtle Beach was such a blast! We did so many things! The highlights would definitely have to include a helicopter ride we took around the beach, my first visit to Joes Crab Shack :-) and our late night visit to the NASCAR speedway! It was such an amazing visit that I didn't want to leave.

After four days at the beach we headed back on the road to Atlanta Georgia for some serious partying! Unlike Myrtle Beach, we didn't find time to relax at all. It was strictly turn up time! We hung out with old friends, shopped til we dropped, ate amazing food and partied hard! The final four games were in Atlanta that weekend so the city was popping! Strip clubs, night clubs, hookah bars- you name it we saw it! The highlight of my Atlanta visit would have to be visiting my boyfriend's family and experiencing my very first traditional Ethiopian dinner. It was amazing! I've always been drawn to African culture but this experience was mind blowing! I loved it!

All in all, I had a blast but now it's back to the real world. So what did I miss?

Bangin' Baby Bump:Kim K

Baby bumps are clearly the new black, taking complete control this season. I love that the baby bump is no longer hidden- but now, accentuated by figure hugging silhouettes! I can appreciate the celebration of such A gift through fashion, itself. Here is a look at one of my favorite celebrity baby bumps this year: Kim K. Enjoy :-)!

Glam Guide 101: Dainty Dating on a Dime

Spring is here and there is no better season for mingling with hot guy prospects. When dating, it can sometimes get a little hard to find the perfect outfit for the occasion. Of course you want to look sexy but not sleazy and gorgeous but not forced. All the while, you're hoping not to spend a fortune doing so, right?

Well here are a few tips that will have you date ready in no time, without breaking the bank...

First Date:
Let's face it- first dates are nerve wrecking enough. You aren't even sure if you're going to like this guy, let alone if it's going to be worth a pair of expensive new shoes. So, what do you do? If you must buy something new, keep your budget at under $50 and buy ONLY those items that will compliment your current wardrobe. More than likely, the perfect ensamble is already tucked away in your closet anyhow.

A good first date will contain three elements, which means you won't be spending all of your time in one place. So while you want to be dainty, you'll need to be comfortable as well. A skinny jean and romantic top is always a safe bet. Paired with a blazer, this look is an effortless first date look. But if you want to really make a statement, I would recommend a pair of printed pants instead. The look is totally on trend and can be paired with a sexy sheer top or a simple cropped top for a sexy and fierce finish.

For this look, I recommend a classic pointy toe pump in either black or nude. Normally the pants will bring all the color. Beyonce's yellow shoe definitely works with her look, however.

Date w/ the Mate-
Sometimes even going on a date with your boo thang can be a challenging wardrobe call. I stick to a few basic rules: stay sexy and make him want you. By now, your boo has probably already saw all the goods you have to offer. But there is no reason not to give a sneak peak. It's spring, s be flirty and keep it fun.

If the weather is nice, go short! A cute pair of shorts is an unexpected date night look and will have the boo eyeing you all night. Either go with the hot-right-now monochromatic hues OR color block with a cute cropped top and a pair of scrappy sandals in a contrasting tone.

Short suits are totally in right now! So get all matchy-matchy from the thigh up and go for a surprise pop of color in your hoe choice. This is sexy, chic and total date night perfection.

My Thoughts: Beyonce's Bow Down Track (Requested)

I recently shared a little tea with you regarding Keyshia Cole's latest twitter rant where she lashed out against Beyonce's Bow Down track. (I also shared the video via the TyPod which has been acting up lately. No worries- tech support is on it!) Now while I did mention that I felt Keyshia was slightly out of line- I never commented on my opinion of the video. For me, the issue wasn't necessarily with WHAT Keyshia was saying- she had some very valid points. But of course, her delivery was off- as usual.

So per request, and somewhat against what I usually would stand for, I can officially declare that I too dislike the track! That's right! I hate it y'all! So hear me out...

First off, Keyshia couldn't have been more accurate in her description of the contradictory verbiage. I mean, we all know Beyonce as this humble, meek character who is all about woman empowerment. Right? Wrong, I guess. Here she is now, boasting and bragging and worse telling bitches to bow down. I mean, don't get me wrong- confidence is key. But I don't know too many "bitches" willing to bow down to Beyonce or anyone else for that matter. For me, the lyrics were weak, the message seemed forced and it just didn't work.

Now let's say, perhaps, that this was not released as a single. But instead was going to be the intro to her much anticipated album. Would I feel differently? Absolutely! As an intro this would work on so many more levels. As a single, try again. Let's say if Rihanna was singing this hot mess, instead of queen Bey. Would I feel differently? Absolutely! I would believe it more first of all. And her edge would make the song work. This is a classic example of a bad song given to a good singer. Period.

I know that the Beyhive is going to swarm with rebuttals- but frankly this is my opinion and you're welcome to yours. I'm more than willing to give Beyonce another shot. Let's just pretend this never happened, ok? Lol

Morning Tea: Keyshia Says Bow Where??

As if we all haven't heard enough from Keyshia Cole lately, she surfaced again to throw shade via twitter. Just when the Super Bowl shade had gotten dusty and much forgotten, Cole took to twitter to make it known that she wasn't bowing down to anyone- not even Queen Bey.

Shorty after the released Bow Down track, Keyshia went vocal in her tweets basically putting Beyonce for being fake. I, for one, was thinking 'Keyshia who?' while others actually fed in to the nonsense. Take a look at what she had to say here:

While I could totally call this rant blasphemous and out of line- I would opt for a more fitting term: IRRELEVANT. Carry on...

Glam Guide 101: Style Dupe Emily B's Instagram Dress

I'm sure I'm not the only one who practically drools over Glam Girl Emily B's fashion. Some days I run to the gram just to see what he's wearing. Well this one will have all of my Glam Girls excited.

Earlier this week Em was spotted on the gram wearing a super cute baroque print Bodycon dress. Apparently a style dupe for the top Evelyn Lozada wore in her green screen confessionals for the upcoming season of BBW. So I knew that the dress was by a brand called Cosette which is carried at Nordstrom. But what I didn't know is that the dress is now marked 50% off and is listed at only $39.98. So of course I had to cop one of my own. And if you're feeling the look-use the link below to cop yours too. This dress is Gorg and right on trend, seeing as though prints are completely in right now. It would look great paired with a pair of gladiator or t-strap booties. A must have for spring. Happy duping girlies, :-)!

Morning Tea: RHOA Reunion Tapes Without Walter

Apparently Walter Jackson is capable of catching feelings- just not for Kenya Moore. The Atlanta bachelor was all up in his feelings on twitter, after catching wind of the shady reality tv business going on behind his back. Perhaps Mr. Jackson was under the impression that his fifteen minutes of fame included an invitation to the reunion taping. However Bravo felt otherwise.

This season, we all watched Walter pretend to be Kenya Moore's, well off love interest. We also watched as that ship crashed and burned right before our eyes. When Kenya started pushing the marriage issue (allegedly in hopes of getting a spin off show focusing on the wedding) Walter went A-wall and Kenya had yet to pick her face up off the floor. So that's when the gay rumors surfaced- but I'm sure we all remember that all too well. America didn't buy it and Walter spoke up, announcing that he was indeed ACTING like Kenya's boo thang just to land her a spot on the show.

So here we are, several months after taping has wrapped up and most of the season has aired. And this dysfunctional couple has snuck their way right up into another press op. Walter takes to twitter to rant about how Bravo is scared to invite him to the reunion show because he'll expose the truth. You can check out the tweets below for yourself and let me know what you think. But personally, I think Walter needs to have several seats- and NOT on the reunion stage... Lol
